BOXTOPS

Have you tried out this new app?

Have you send this to your family out of state?

YESSS!!! They can do this too!

Download the app and scan all receipts to help help accumulate box top cash for Sunrise.

SO HOW DO I DO IT?

Follow these simple steps for Sunrise Box Tops:

Step 1) Download app

Step 2) Setup Profile

Step 3) Add Sunrise Drive Elementary in Tucson as your school to donate to.

Step 4) Shop & scan your receipts! Any eligible products will accumulate box top cash for Sunrise!

Note: Any physical box tops that you find on a box can still be clipped and sent to school, but most products no longer are printing the Box Top icon since the program has moved to the app system.

Instacart or online shopper? No problem! Just screenshot your digital receipt, go to “Contact Us” on app, and select “Submit Digital Receipt.” Then upload the screenshot(s) of your receipt.

Some of my favorite brands that earn $ for Sunrise:

PaperMate office & school supplies, Annie’s, Yoplait, Oui, Airborne, Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, Progresso, General Mills cereals, & Lysol.

Earn Bonus Box Tops at Costco, Walmart, Target & Dollar General - check app weekly to cash in!

Thanks so much!

Steppers

Sunrise Drive athletes love running and walking during Steppers! Our students appreciate the FFO volunteers and support to celebrate our healthy habits! Every six laps we run or walk is one mile! Thank you to Tracy Rea and A Leen Chong for supporting the weekly event! Erin Guido and Gigi Dover greatly appreciate the FFO's support of purchasing the software used for our runners and walkers to record the distance traveled.

Sunrise Garden News

This is the Goldilocks season for gardening in Arizona, with moderate temps and a nice weekend of rain! Students are learning and exploring plant (and worm) life every week and have had some exciting opportunities to harvest what they planted two months ago.

In the past several weeks, we have thinned carrots, planted the Olla bed with pollinators, and harvested lettuce, spinach & kale. Hopefully a sampling of the harvest made it home unwilted by the end of the school day in the backpacks of those who participated in Garden Club! Check backpacks on Tuesdays if your student is a gardener, because we have some more harvest opportunities coming up soon!

This month, we will be introducing our composting worms (which have doubled in size since they entered our VermiHut) to coffee grounds to keep them more active during the cool temps. We also plan on reseeding the rows that have been harvested and adding some flowers (pollinators) to the beds in the main walking area of campus. Look for the butterflies to signal where the pollinators are!

Big THANK YOU to Mark & Elik this month for volunteering at Garden Club! We can also use some volunteers over the holiday break for watering. Please email our Garden Coordinator Nkechi at: nkechidiallo@gmail.com or text 509.879.7639 if you are available to help even one day over break. This rain will also bring weeds, so if you have extra time while watering, please pick away at the weeds too!
